POLYPHON 'SYMPHONION' WITH 36 PERFORATED PLATES German, 19th century. Mechanical musical mechanism in a carved wooden box, decorated with surrounding floral ornamentation, crank on the side. H. 28, w. 54, d. 44 cm. Inside marked 'Symphonion' and numbered '68'. Symphonion, music box with perforated plate mechanism, songs including Berliner Luft, Holzhackermarsch, Stille Nacht, Am Weihnachtsbaum die Lichter brennen. Box partially damaged, function tested.
