Description
GROUP OF FOUR VIOLIN BOWS 'PECATTE' AND 'LEFÈVRE A PARIS'* German, early 20th century. Round and octagonal sticks, single and Parisian eyes, silver mounting, winding, thumb leather, ivory head plates. Lengths 73 and 74 cm, weights approx. 68 / 66 / 52 / 60 g. Two bows apocryphally marked "Pecatte" and one marked "Lefèvre a Paris". Partially rubbed and minimally bumped. Private collection, Rhineland. CITES marketing certificate is available. Please note that due to the current CITES regulations for ivory and tortoiseshell objects, unrestricted trade is only permitted within the European Community.
