HUNTING HORN 'PRINCE PLESS' German, 20th century Small hunting horn made of brass, circular in shape, wrapped in leather, with a removable mouthpiece. W. 34, H. 22 cm. Inscribed "Fürst Pless" on the front. The Fürst Pless horn was developed in the late 19th century and is named after Hans Heinrich XI, Prince of Pless (1833-1907). Partially restored; functionality not tested. Provenance: Private collection, Hesse.
