FINE CELLO LABELED 'GIACOMO & LEANDRO BISIACH' Probably Milan, Italy, 1958. Two-piece spruce top with fine grain and maple back; dark reddish-brown varnish. 4/4 cello, total length approx. 122 cm, body length 75 cm. Internal label: 'Giacomo Leandro Bisiach, Fecero in Milano l'A 1958' (possibly hand-signed). Approximate dimensions: string length 68.5 cm, neck length (nut to body) 40 cm, upper bout 35.6 cm, middle bout 26 cm, lower bout 46 cm. An exceptional, high-quality cello, presumably from the Giacomo & Leandro Bisiach workshop in Milan. Shows some wear and damage; bridge missing. Provenance: Private collection, Münster.
