DOMRA PRIMA Presumably Russia, 20th century. Spruce top, floral rosette, wooden pickguard, hemispherical maple body, fretted neck with diamond inlays, 3 strings; includes a custom-fitted original case. Length approx. 60 cm. Handwritten inscription and date '1992' inside. The domra is one of the most important Russian folk instruments and belongs to the family of round-bodied lutes. Minor bumped; top shows slight tension cracks. Provenance: Private collection, Hesse.
