COLLECTION OF FIVE SNUFF BOXES 1st half of the 19th century Paper-mâché, black lacquer, polychrome oil-lacquer painting, partially over print. H. approx. 2 cm, D. 7 to 8.5 cm. Each with a plug-in lid and various figurative depictions, such as a harbor scene (inscribed 'Departure in California'), a landscape with a horse-drawn carriage and figures, interiors with gentlemen, and a hunting scene. Partially used, chipped and damaged.
