MONUMENTAL GUILD TANKARD German, beginning of the 20th century Pewter. 78 x 45 x 44 cm. Unidentified (pseudo-)marks on the handle. Conical body with hinged lid, eagle crest, and strap handle with thumb rest, resting on three lion's feet. The front features a coat of arms with the guild emblems of carpenters, locksmiths, blacksmiths, bakers, and brewers, as well as the inscription "To the Honorable Trades" and the date "1659." Partially chipped.
