NEOCLASSICAL GOLD AND ENAMEL SNUFF BOX Probably France, early 19th century Red gold, enamel, gold decoration. 3 x 9 x 6.5 cm, weight approx. 140 g. Indistinctly hallmarked. Oval shape. Surfaces completely covered with cobalt blue translucent enamel. The edges are bordered with fine ornamental friezes. A profile portrait relief adorns the hinged lid. Partially damaged and worn.
