FRAMED EMBROIDERY WITH MERCY CHAIR South German or Alpine, 15th century. Wool, silk, gold and silver threads, framed behind glass (unopened). 52.5 x 48 cm (f. 69 x 62 x 3 cm). Cross-shaped embroidery panel depicting the mercy seat and banderoles with angels holding Gothic text. Age-appropriate condition. Provenance: Collection of a German countess; thence by inheritance to the current owners.
