BRONZE PLAQUE 'HENDRIK VAN BREDERODE' Probably from the circle of Pieter van Abeele, mid-17th/early 18th century Bronze. 8 x 0.5 cm. Round plaque with a relief bust of Hendrik van Brederode, surrounded by the inscription 'Henric XXI Brederod Dominus nat 1531 ob. 1568' on the front, and a scene depicting Hendrik delivering a petition to Margaret of Parma, with the inscription 'Qui vult amari languida regnet manu - CCCC Nob Supplices 1566 D 5 April' on the back. Partially damaged, with traces of oxidation.
