Lower right with remnants of a signature (partially difficult to read). Verso: on the stretcher an old label "Cadres & Dorure Gabriel van Thienen, Brussels", also inscribed "Valerius de Saedeleer". Partially abraded and restored. Framed. Cf. According to Piet Boyens, the present painting was executed around 1926. It depicts farmhouses on the so-called "Taaienberg" in Etikhove, East Flanders.
