GERMAN SCULPTOR Active around 1900 DWARF - SIEMENS & HALSKE ADVERTISING FIGURE Bronze, gilded and dark patina, on a pedestal (H. 2.5 cm). Total H. 14, W. 16, W 8 cm, weight approx. 1.4 kg. Marked 'Siemens Halske' on the side and monogrammed 'A. G.'. Rare figurative bronze advertising object for the Siemens & Halske company, founded in 1847 and originally active in the telegraph business. It depicts a dwarf carrying a heavy copper telegraph cable-a vivid symbol of technical prowess and industrial innovation. Around 1900, such advertising bronzes served as representative showpieces for shop windows, trade fair stands, or company decorations. Partial loss of patina.
