FRITZ RICHTER-ELSNER 1884 Köppelsdorf - 1970 Detmold STANDING HORSE Bronze, brown patina, on rectangular plinth (H. 2 cm). Total height 49, width 61, D. 17 cm, weight approx. 14.47 kg. Marked 'Fritz Richter Elsner fec.' on the plinth and 'Oskar Gladenbeck GmbH' foundry mark on the side. Powerful depiction of a standing horse in a calm, concentrated posture. The clearly defined contours, balanced proportions, and precise modeling of the anatomy and musculature testify to Fritz Richter-Elsner's special affinity for animal sculpture. Partial loss of patina and bumped repair, stress crack on the neck.
