RELIEF CHRIST AS THE MAN OF SORROWS Augsburg, around 1600 Bronze, relief, gilded brass, with angel lobes, on velvet and wooden panel, in wooden frame. Overall h. 29.5, w. 16.5, d. 1 cm, weight approx. 450g. Relief sculptural depiction of the scourged Jesus with crown of thorns at rest. Part rubbed and loss of patina. Expertise by Dr. Franz Theodor Klingelschmitt, Wiesbaden, 19 July 1947.
