LUDWIG SONNLEITNER 1878 Landau (Isar) - 1947 Würzburg PUTTO WITH BLOWHORN ON A DEER Bronze, dark patina, glass eyes, on rectangular plinth and stone base (H. 3.5 cm). Total H. 43, W 35, D 11 cm, weight approx. 8.77 kg. Inscribed 'L. Sonnleitner' on the plinth. Charming depiction of a naked putto with a blow horn, riding exuberantly on the back of a resting doe. Some losses to the patina, some damage and wear, tail missing.
