	GIOVANNI BOLOGNA GEN. GIAMBOLOGNA 1529 Douai - 1608 Florence (after) MERCURY AND FORTUNA Bronze, dark patina, each on a round, turned bas-relief base (h. 20 cm). Overall h. 85/87, w. 18.5718, d. 26/27 cm, each weighing approx. 11.3 kg. Design after Giambologna, inscribed 'Sobre' and 'de Bologne' on the plinth, allegories of the arts inscribed 'Clodion' on the base. Fully sculpted depiction of the figures of Mercury and Fortuna, each balancing on wind-blowing putti heads, one arm raised. Part bumped and rubbed, loss of patina, rest, Mercury's staff missing, chipped at the hips.
