GERHARD ADOLF JANENSCH 1860 Zamborst/Pomerania - 1933 Berlin 'SCHOOLGIRL READING' Bronze with gold patina, on a rectangular plinth and marble base (height 11 cm). Total height approx. 69 cm. Signed 'Prof. G. Janensch' on the plinth. A fully modeled figure of a young schoolgirl walking briskly with a bag under her arm, completely engrossed in reading an open book as she walks. Minor nicks and losses to the patina.
