FRITZ PETSCH 1893 - 1981 'SHORT FIFTEEN' (STANDING MINING WORKER) Bronze, dark patina, on a square plinth. H. 48.5, w. 21, d. 13.5 cm, weight approx. 7.48 kg. Smaller version of the statue by Fritz Petsch from 1951. The 'Kurze Fuffzehn' was created by Fritz Petsch in 1951 and commissioned by Rot-Weiss Essen. The monumental statue is now in the German Football Museum in Dortmund. The title recalls the short break in mining. Part. Loss of patina and traces of oxidation. Provenance: Private collection Essen.
