FRITZ HEINEMANN 1864 Altena - 1932 Berlin SMALL NARCISSUS Bronze, brown patina, on a rectangular plinth (h. 3.5 cm). Overall h. 56, w. 29, d. 23 cm, weight approx. 11.27 kg. Signed 'Fritz heinemann' and dated '1896' on the plinth, foundry mark 'Aktien=Gesellschaft vorm. H. Gladenbeck & Sohn'. Fully sculpted half-nude depiction of a boy, his arms stretching forward. Similar versions in marble, where the little Narcissus is looking at himself in the mirror. Min. loss of patina and rubbed, mirror missing.
