AUGUSTE LOUIS MATHURIN MOREAU 1834 Dijon - 1917 Malesherbes (successor) FISHERWOMAN WITH HER CHILDREN Bronze, brown patinated, on round plinth on large marble pedestal, four paw feet (h. 1,46 m). Figure h. 74, w. 33 d. 23 cm. Inscribed on front 'Math. Moreau hors concours', with foundry stamp 'Medaille d'Honneur. Above a large marble column and circular plinth, full-length depiction of a mother with her children, carrying a fishing net and hook. Part. rubbed and loss of patina, part. bumped, figure with impurities.
