PIERRE LE FAGUAYS 1892 Nantes - 1962 Paris (after) 'DANSEUSE AU THYRSE' Bronze with silver and partial gold patina, on a stepped marble base (H. 6 cm). Total H. 28, W. 24, D. 6 cm; weight approx. 2 kg. Inscribed 'Le Faguays' on the plinth and 'Etling Paris' on the side; after the original by Faguays. A dynamic Art Deco depiction of a dancer balancing on one leg in a sweeping movement, holding a thyrsus staff. Part. bumped and rubbed, loss of paint.
