EDOUARD FIERS 1822 Ypres - 1894 Schaerbeek ARMOR GROWING OUT OF A SHELL Bronze, dark patina, on a naturalistic plinth. H. 38, w. 42, d. 25 cm, weight approx. 18.12 kg. Signed 'Fiers' and inscribed 'St' to the side of the shell. Fully sculpted, detailed depiction of a small winged armorer with a bow and arrow, striking a shell carried by a fish. Part ber. and loss of patina.
