HUGO KAUFMANN 1868 Schotten - 1919 Munich APHRODITE / VENUS REMOVING HER SANDAL Bronze, dark patina, on square plinth and marble base. Total height 33 cm, width 13 cm, depth 10.5 cm, weight approx. 3 kg. Signed 'Hugo Kaufmann' on the plinth. Fully sculpted nude depiction of the goddess Aphrodite (Roman Venus) standing on her right leg in a slightly bent-over posture, removing her sandal in preparation for a bath. Min. rubbed.
