TWO SOAPSTONE VASES AND A BRUSHHOLDER ON STAND China, 19th/20th century Soapstone. H. 10.5-19.3 cm. The vases are carved in relief with monkeys, birds, and flowers on a rocky mountain, while the brush holder is carved in relief with pavilion and landscape, all set on pierced stands. Provenance: From an old private collection in the southern part of North Rhine-Westphalia.
