TWO MOUNTED WAKIZASHI Japan, probably 19th century Bone/antler. L. 63-66 cm. Including two wakizashi, both with handle, scabbard, and tsuba composed of segments of bone and stag antler, finely carved in relief with warriors in battle scenes and other activities. With traces of use, partially cracked and scratched. Provenance: From an old private collection in the southern part of North Rhine-Westphalia.
