Description
A BRONZE SEATED FIGURE OF SHAKYAMUNI China (Tibet), probably 15th century Bronze. H. 16.7 cm. The buddha in long flowing robes is seated on a double lotus pedestal, with the right hand in bhumisparsa mudra and the left in dhyana mudra. With traces of age, partially abraded. Provenance: From an old private collection in Rhineland, acquired on the German art market in the second half of the 20th century.
