A LACQUERED WOOD SEATED FIGURE OF BUDDHA Burma, 18th/19th century Wood. H. 56.5 cm. The Shan-style Buddha is seated on a raised hourglass-form base, with the right hand in bhumisparsha mudra and the left hand resting on the lap. With traces of age and gilding, partially damaged and cracked, the Ushnisha missing.
