A LACQUERED 'BIRD AND FLORAL' BOX AND COVER Japan, probably Meiji period Metal/Silver, etc.. Ca. 16.5x9x4.4 cm. The box is decorated with a bird and flowers on the cover, with the bird's eye inlaid with mother-of-pearl. The interior and the bottom of the box are decorated in gold Hiramaki-e. With traces of use, partially abraded and damaged.
