A SMALL CINNABAR LACQUER BOX AND COVER China, probably 16th/17th century Lacquerware. L. 7.5 cm. The square-shaped box is finely decorated with a monk holding a ruyi-scepter, riding on the back of a qilin. With traces of age and use, partially damaged.
