A SMALL BOWL Korea, 12th/13th century Ceramic. H. 2.8 cm, D. 11.5 cm. The bowl is of shallow form, made of dark brown stoneware and covered with a dark green, finely crackled glaze. Three spur marks are visible in the well. It has later Japanese gold lacquer repairs (kintsugi) in the form of a delicate stylised wave pattern (seigaiha), and is accompanied by a Japanese silk shifuku.. Provenance: Acquired from an old Japanese family collection.
