EINE GROSSE VERGOLDETE SITZENDE FIGUR VON BUDDHA AUS BRONZE

A LARGE GILT BRONZE SEATED FIGURE OF BUDDHA Thailand, 18th/19th century Bronze. H. 58 cm. The buddha is seated in vajrasana on a lotus base placed on a stepped pedestal, with right hand in bhumisparsa mudra and left hand originally holding a cup. With traces of age, partially abraded and damaged, cup lost. Provenance: From a private collection in Rhineland.
