A FAMILLE ROSE BOTTLE VASE China, late Qing dynasty Porcelain. H. 35 cm. The compressed body boldly enamelled on one side with a tall leafy wutong tree amongst an extensive cluster of leafy pink and coral blossoming tree peony issuing from craggy rocks, a deer at the left holding a lingzhi spray, and two cranes roosting among the wutong branches, the reverse with bats. With a mark 'daqing jiaqing nianzhi' on the bottom. With traces of use and age, partially abraded. Provenance: From an old private collection in North Rhine-Westphalia.
