AN INLAID BLACK LACQUER 'FIGURAL' TABLE PLAQUE China, early 20th century Wood/stone/mother-of-pearl etc.. L. 69 cm. The plaque is inlaid with shaped plaques of mother-of-pearl, variegated shell, hardstones, and ivory, depicting figural scenes, all set against a lustrous black lacquer ground. With traces of use and age, partially chipped on the rim and abraded.
