A WOODEN BOX AND COVER INSET WITH A WHITE JADE PLAQUE China, late Qing Dynasty Wood/Jade. L. 10 cm, H. 6 cm. This wooden box is carved in the shape of chrysanthemum petals and features a white jade plaque inlaid in the cover, which is decorated with relief carvings of the Eight Treasures and a double bat motif. With traces of use and age, partially damaged on the cover.
