AN EXPORT SILVER FOUR-PIECE TEA SERVICE WITH TRAY China, 19th century Silver. H. of the service 11.5-21.5 cm, L. of the tray 52.5 cm, 2730 g in total. The service comprises a hot water kettle, teapot, cream jug and covered sugar bowl, applied with bamboo and bird decoration, marked under bases "Shen Chang" and "IW". The tray is also decorated with bamboos, marked "Huai Ji" and "IW". With traces of use, slightly damaged. Provenance: From a private collection in North Rhine-Westphalia, acquired by family member in Shanghai before 1900.
