A THANGKA DEPICTING BUDDHA SHAKYAMUNI China (Tibet), 19th century Distemper on cloth, mounted as a hanging scroll. 60 × 41 cm (excl. mount). The thangka depicts Buddha Shakyamuni at the centre, accompanied by his principal disciples, with Amitayus above. With traces of age, partially creased and with losses of colour. Provenienz: From the estate of Wilhelm von Pochhammer (diplomat, Consul General in Bombay, 1953-1957).
