EIN TETSUBIN (WASSERKOCHER) AUS GUSSEISEN UND BRONZE

A CAST IRON AND BRONZE TETSUBIN (KETTLE) Japan, Meiji-period Cast iron/bronze. H. 17.5 cm (excluding handle). The kettle is decorated with two panels, one depicting Cymbidium orchids and the other an inscription. The inside of the cover is inscribed with "Ryubundo zo". On the bottom is a mark reading "Seiun". With traces of age and use, partially abraded and slightly damaged.
