A PAOTAO 'TIGER' RUG Tibet, around 1900 Wool. 148 x 84 cm. The rug is decorated with a red tiger beneath a tree, an eagle perched on the branches, and a monkey on the trunk stealing fruit. With traces of age and areas of restoration. Provenance: From a private collection in North Rhine-Westphalia.
