Description
AN IVORY OKIMONO OF A BALLED SHISHI Japan, around 1900 Ivory. H. 3.8 cm. The okimono is finely carved as a shishi curled into a ball, with inlaid eyes and mouth open, containing a movable ball. The mane and tail are carved with curling fur. With traces of age and use, slightly abraded and cracked. CITES marketing certificate is available.Please note that due to the current CITES regulations for ivory and tortoiseshell objects, unrestricted trade is only permitted within the European Community.
