A WOOD NETSUKE OF SHOKI'S CAP Japan, 19th century Wood. H. 5.6 cm. Shoki has laid his cap on a small table. A mischievous oni, hiding beneath it, is waiting for the moment to snatch it. There is a signature in an oval reserve on the bottom. With traces of age and use, partially abraded and damaged.
