A WOOD NETSUKE OF A MASK CARVER Japan, 19th century Wood. H. 4 cm. The netsuke is carved as a mask carver, with one hand holding a mask and the other holding a carving knife, signed 'Gyokkei' within an inlaid plaque. With traces of age and use, partially abraded.
