EIN NETSUKE VON EINEM HORAGAI UND EINER TROMMEL AUS HOLZ

A WOOD NETSUKE OF A HORAGAI WITH A DRUM Japan, 19th century Wood/Ivory. L. 4.1 cm. The netsuke is carved with a horagai (a large conch-shell trumpet) beside a drum, the drum inlaid with ivory on both its top and bottom surfaces. With traces of age and use, partially abraded. Provenance: From an old private collection in North Rhine-Westphalia. CITES marketing certificate is available. Please note that due to the current CITES regulations for ivory and tortoiseshell objects, unrestricted trade is only permitted within the European Community.
