A WOOD NETSUKE OF CHOKARO SENNIN Japan, 19th century Wood. H. 6 cm. The netsuke is carved as a chokaro sennin, with one hand holding a cane and the other grasping a gourd hanging from his shoulder. Signed 'Deme' in a reserve on the bottom. With traces of age and use, partially abraded.
