EIN MONTIERTES WAKIZASHI

A MOUNTED WAKIZASHI Japan, 18th/19th century Steel etc.. L. with koshira-e ca. 66 cm. The sword has configuration of shinogizukuri and iroimune, the forging pattern flowing muji hada and finished with suguha and o-maru. The koshira-e comprises brown-lacquer saya, an iron tsuba, tsuka wrapped with samekawa, fuchi-kashira decorated with flower branches, menuki formed as Chrysantheme. The blade is unsigned. With traces of use.
