Description
A INSCRIBED ARCHAISTIC BRONZE DISH China, probably Qing Dynasty Bronze. L. 13.9x14 cm. The dish has a shallow body with a lipped, everted rim, inscribed on the interior with a poem celebrating the spring season. It stands on four double ruyi-form feet and is decorated with two dragons chasing a flaming pearl. The base bears a "nei yong" mark and is dated to the 13th day of the first month of 1432, Xuande reign. With traces of use and age, partially abraded and damaged.
