A BRASS GUI-FORM CENSER China Brass. H. 8.4 cm. The shoulders of the censer are flanked by a pair of mythical lion-head handles, each with a lion's mane. The base is cast with a six-character Xuande mark within a recessed rectangular panel. With traces of age and use, partially abraded and damaged, with one area at the rim restored. Provenance: From a private collection in North Rhine-Westphalia.
