Description
A LARGE INLAID GAU BOX Nepal, 19th/20th century Metal. H. ca. 20.5 cm. The gau box is decorated on the front and sides with buddhist deities by using inlaid gemstones on a filigree ground. In the middle is a small niche with a miniature figure of amitayus. With traces of age, partially damaged or deformed. Provenance: From an old private collection in North Rhine-Westphalia.
