A FINE WOOD CARVED NETSUKE OF SAMBO KOJIN Japan, 19th century Wood. H. 4.1 cm. The netsuke is carved as a riding mother, flanked by her two children in panniers, with the groom holding one leg of the horse, signed on the left "Minkoku". With traces of age and use. Provenance: From the important collection of the Chemnitz entrepreneur and manufacturer Fritz Niescher (1889-1974).
