A FINE IVORY CARVED NETSUKE OF A RAT Japan, mid-19th century Ivory. H. 2.8 cm. The netsuke is carved as a rat carrying the tip of its own tail in its mouth, with a signature on the bottom. With traces of age and use, partially cracked, one ear missing.
