A FINE FAMILLE ROSE 'ANIMALS' SNUFF BOTTLE China, late Qing Dynasty Porcelain. H. 7.2 cm. This flattened rectangular snuff bottle has rounded shoulders set with animal-mask handles and is finely painted with scenes of animals on both main sides: one side depicts two dogs, while the other side features two birds. The recessed base is marked with an iron-red four-character mark "Dao Guang Nian Zhi". With traces of use and age. Provenienz: From a private collection in North Rhine-Westphalia.
